Details: Class participants will learn how to engrave a personal stamp in Tenkoku moji (the traditional Japanese stone stamp font), katakana, or even the English alphabet. You can choose or design your own letter/symbol and carve it into 18mm on the surface of 青田石, Seidenseki. This is soft stone carving and is good for beginners. This class will focus on the carving aspect. Choosing the design, symbol or letter to be engraved can be challenging, so if choosing a custom design it is advisable to have some idea in mind ahead time before the class.
